When you have IRS problems, you can appeal them.

Audit Appeals
If you do not agree with a decision made by the IRS auditor–and after discussing this with the manager you still are not in agreement–you can file an appeal.
Offer in Compromise Appeals
When your offer in compromise is rejected, you should find out why. If an attempt to resubmit it fails, your next remedy is to file an appeal. Please See Our Offer in Compromise Appeals Page for more information.
Collections Appeals
If you need to stop a collection action from happening then you can file Form 12153 or Form 9423. See Our Collection Appeals Page for more information.
